Esther Stocker’s “Fragmented space’ fields of vectors and points that seem to form much larger volumes and spaces. Elements seem to line up, lines begin to intersect or diverge and volumes and spaces begin to form and evolve. The high contrast of the black lines on the white space, combined with the unexpected geometric clarity provide for interesting and changing optical effects, that you want to interact with and change your viewing perspective on. Her work almost seems to be a pause in an additive process, or inversely a pause in a slow, methodical explosion.
